IIT-Bombay student death: ACP-rank officer tasked with Crime Branch probe
Police have assigned an Assistant Commissioner of Police‑rank officer from the Crime Branch to investigate the death of a student at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Authorities said the investigation will consider every possible angle and will be carried out with diligence and impartiality, and transparently, as part of a routine inquiry, according to statements from the police.
