Legal & General to cut 1,000 jobs by mid-2027
Insurance and pensions provider Legal & General announced a plan to reduce its workforce by about 1,000 positions by mid‑2027. The first phase, in the near term, will rely on voluntary redundancy offers to UK staff, with the company saying it will evaluate whether compulsory layoffs are needed based on how many employees accept the voluntary terms.
