Biennial elections for five MLC Graduate, Teachers’ seats to be held on October 23
Maharashtra's Legislative Council will hold biennial elections on October 23 to fill five vacant seats reserved for graduate and teachers’ constituencies. The contests span four divisions—Aurangabad, Pune, Nagpur and Amravati—each selecting a representative for the graduate or teachers’ category. These seats are part of the council’s 78-member body and are filled by indirect votes of eligible graduates and teachers.
