Delhi L-G orders park safety audit, Pink Police deployment after Astha Kunj gang rape
Delhi’s lieutenant governor, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, has instructed a full safety review of every park in the capital to be completed within seven days. The audit will examine lighting, security measures, regular patrols and cleanliness. In response to the recent Astha Kunj gang‑rape, additional Pink Police units will be deployed to improve safety for women.
