Odisha textbook errors: Inquiry flags hasty process, no writer orientation
An inquiry panel reviewing Odisha's school textbooks reported that the production process was rushed and lacked proper writer orientation. It found that the same resource persons repeatedly performed several functions for a single class and subject—authoring, reviewing, proofreading and serving as the final subject expert—raising concerns about quality control and accountability. The high‑level committee said the overlapping responsibilities compromised editorial checks.
