Madras High Court dismisses AIADMK whip’s case against amendment to Mekedatu resolution passed by Tamil Nadu Assembly
The Madras High Court rejected a writ filed by AIADMK legislator Agri S.S. Krishnamurthy that aimed to annul an amendment to Tamil Nadu’s Mekedatu resolution. The amendment proposes establishing a tribunal to settle the water dispute with Karnataka. Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan dismissed the petition, leaving the amendment in force.
