Financial stalemate ends, government pushes NH 183 project into construction phase
After a prolonged funding dispute, the government has moved the NH 183 development into the construction stage. The scheme will upgrade a 54.37‑kilometre segment between Kadavoor bypass junction and Anjilimoodu near Chengannur into a four‑lane road with a 20‑metre right‑of‑way, aiming to improve regional connectivity. Officials expect the upgraded highway to ease traffic congestion and support local economic growth.
