Andhra fixes junior doctors’ stipend hike at 3.5% a year from 2027; APJUDA rejects order
Andhra Pradesh government issued G.O. No.141 fixing stipend increase for junior doctors: 10% for interns and 5% for postgraduate trainees in 2026, then 3.5% annual rise from 2027 onward. The directive, released a month after a doctors' strike ended, was rejected by the Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors' Association, which says it was taken unilaterally and asks the government to reconsider.
