Pawan Kalyan inaugurates ₹9.59-crore drinking water scheme serving 52 habitations in Pithapuram
Actor‑politician Pawan Kalyan opened a newly upgraded drinking‑water project in Pithapuram, costing about ₹9.59 crore. The scheme now covers 52 villages that previously lacked service, extending safe water to roughly 97,000 residents of Kakinada district. The three‑decade‑old Nagulapalli system was modernised to reach tail‑end habitations that had been excluded before. The upgrade includes new pipelines and storage tanks, aiming to improve reliability and quality of supply.
