NCW takes suo motu cognizance of Jamui incident
India’s National Commission for Women announced it is initiating a suo motu inquiry into a reported incident in Bihar’s Jamui district, where a teenage girl and a male companion were allegedly subjected to public molestation, assault, forced detention and harassment. The commission said it will investigate the allegations and take appropriate action based on its findings.
