T.N. Energy Resources Minister launches State solar subsidy scheme
Tamil Nadu’s Energy Resources Minister inaugurated a new state solar subsidy program, offering combined central‑state financial support to households that applied from August 5. Eligible applicants can receive ₹35,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹70,000 for 2 kW, and ₹1 lakh for a 3 kW installation, aiming to boost residential solar adoption. The program is expected to accelerate rooftop solar uptake across the state.
