New high-speed corridors to get boundary wall to prevent cattle menace
India’s National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued guidelines requiring a continuous boundary wall along all new four- to six‑lane greenfield and brownfield high‑speed, access‑controlled national highways. The measure aims to stop cattle from straying onto the roadways, reducing accidents and traffic disruptions. The directive applies to all upcoming projects meeting these specifications in the country.
