Ganesh idol immersion leaves Tirupati’s Vinayaka Sagar polluted
After the Ganesh festival, the Vinayaka Sagar lake in Tirupati became littered with partially submerged idols, garlands, wooden frames and other decorations. Local authorities observed the debris and appealed to temple pandal organizers and the public to switch to environmentally friendly idols for future immersions, aiming to prevent further pollution in the local water body.
