17 injured as giant honeybees swarm KSRTC bus near Gavi in Keralam
Around 11 a.m. on Thursday, a KSRTC bus traveling near Gavi in Kerala was overtaken by a large swarm of honeybees. The incident occurred close to the Kozhikanam area, near the Vallakkadavu checkpost in Vandiperiyar inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Seventeen passengers suffered injuries, primarily from bee stings, and were taken for medical care. None of the injuries were reported as life‑threatening.
