NIT-Srinagar to open campus observatory with 14-inch telescope
National Institute of Technology Srinagar plans to launch a campus observatory equipped with a 14‑inch telescope, developed in partnership with the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. The facility will provide students practical experience in astronomical observation and imaging, enhancing research opportunities and scientific training. The observatory is expected to become operational by the year, offering workshops and projects for postgraduate scholars.
