SIR: As against 80.62 lakh shifted, absent names, only 6.66 lakh Form-6 applications
According to the State Election Commission, out of 80.62 million voters listed as shifted or absent, just 6.66 million have submitted Form‑6 applications. Interviews with voters marked as absent or shifted revealed many were unaware of the September 23 deadline or the procedure for completing the form, indicating gaps in communication about the electoral update process for future elections.
