Chennai records 4,600 fever cases so far in September: Corporation
The Chennai municipal corporation said 4,600 fever cases were recorded in September, most linked to dengue. According to GCC Commissioner G.S. Sameeran, roughly 95% of those dengue patients experienced mild illness and recovered at home, while about 5% required admission to hospitals. The corporation continues to issue advisories and implement vector‑control measures to curb the spread.
