Panathur Railway Underbridge submerged after rain, commuters struggle through hip-deep water
Heavy rain caused the Panathur Railway Underbridge, a vital connector linking Gunjur, Varthur and the Outer Ring Road, to become submerged. Water rose to waist height, forcing commuters to wade through the flooded passage. The bridge, frequently used by technology workers and private‑sector employees traveling the ORR, remained impassable until drainage efforts began and rescue teams were deployed.
