India's semiconductor push targets chips for cars, TVs, power infra: Vaishnaw
India's government is intensifying its semiconductor strategy, aiming to expand beyond assembly and testing into full‑scale design, fabrication, equipment and material production. Minister Vaishnaw said the focus will be on chips used in automobiles, televisions and power infrastructure. The initiative also aims to attract investment and develop a workforce to support ecosystem.
