OFC menace persists in Bengaluru as new GBA regulations remain pending
Overhead fiber optic cables continue to pose safety hazards across Bengaluru, with numerous busy corridors such as Hosur Road, Mysore Road, Indiranagar’s 100‑foot stretch, Brigade Road, Bannerghatta Road and Koramangala’s 80‑foot lane reporting low‑hanging, tangled or broken lines obstructing sidewalks and traffic. The problem persists while the proposed Greater Bangalore Area regulations aimed at addressing the issue remain awaiting approval.
