SCoR, Vijayawada division, loads first rake of wood pulp to Maharashtra
South Central Railway’s Vijayawada division dispatched its first train carrying wood pulp to Maharashtra, marking the start of a new freight service. Officials project the commodity could add roughly 150,000 tonnes of cargo annually and generate about ₹20 crore in freight revenue for the rail network. The initiative aims to boost overall freight traffic and diversify cargo types within Indian Railways.
