Hope flows anew with revival of Andhra’s Veligonda project
The Andhra Pradesh government has revived the Veligonda water project, originally designed to address decades of drought, dwindling water supplies and fluoride‑tainted sources in the region. The renewed plan calls for constructing an extensive irrigation system covering four districts and thirty mandals, while also providing safe drinking water to communities most affected by chronic water scarcity.
