ASI murder: Accused killed in police encounter in Amritsar
Police in Amritsar reported that the suspect linked to the murder of an assistant sub‑inspector was killed during an encounter. Authorities said they used CCTV recordings, technical data, tower‑dump analysis, local intelligence and human informants to locate and track the individual before the fatal confrontation. The police claim the encounter was justified and no civilian casualties were reported.
