Bengal police arrest Rejinagar bypoll candidate days after Nandigram candidate Milan Pradhan’s arrest

West Bengal state police detained the Rejinagar by‑poll candidate shortly after they arrested Milan Pradhan, the Nandigram contender. Both elections are set for Oct. 6, following Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s resignation from Nandigram and the vacancy in Rejinagar after Humayun Kabir kept the Nawda seat by winning two constituencies in the 2026 assembly poll in the state.
