TMC(M) authorises Vasan to take a call on byelections
The Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) has granted its leader, G. K. Vasan, the authority to decide whether the party will contest upcoming byelections. The party previously aligned with the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance during the 2026 state assembly polls. Party officials said the move reflects internal deliberations on coalition strategies ahead of the vote.
