IMD forecasts wet spell in coastal Andhra Pradesh up to September 23
India’s meteorological department predicts a wet spell for the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh lasting until September 23. A low‑pressure system over the Andaman Sea is expected to strengthen into a depression and affect the south‑Odisha and north‑Andhra coast around that date. The state disaster management authority has warned residents in flood‑prone zones and urged fishermen to stay off the sea.
