Setting up of Type 1 diabetes registry proposed
India’s Type One Diabetic Welfare Society has presented a proposal to Health Minister K. Muraleedharan calling for the creation of a national Type 1 diabetes registry. The society says the registry would consolidate patient data, improve disease monitoring, and enhance access to specialised care and support services across the country. Officials are reviewing the suggestion. The proposal aims to address gaps in treatment and research.
