West Bengal SIR: Over 22 lakh excluded voters filed appeals against exclusion from electoral roll
More than 2.2 million voters in West Bengal have lodged appeals against their removal from the electoral roll, according to the State Election Commission. The appeals follow the exclusion of roughly 2.7 million voters on the basis of alleged logical discrepancies in their registration details, indicating that a large proportion of those removed are contesting the decision.
