Government can bear cost of maintaining UPI network: BJD MP Santrupt Misra
Member of Parliament Santrupt Misra of the Biju Janata Dal asserted that the Indian government can afford the expenses of sustaining the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) network. He highlighted that the National Payments Corporation of India, which runs UPI, is owned by major financial banks and payment platforms, positioning it as a well‑backed entity capable of handling its financial obligations.
