WBPDCL starts sale of surplus coal to NTPC

West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd announced it will begin selling its excess coal to National Thermal Power Corporation. The utility aims to transfer about 3.5 million tonnes of surplus coal over the next four years, targeting completion by March 2027. The move is intended to optimize resource use and generate additional revenue for the state power entity.
