Periyar pollution: PCB serves closure notice on chicken rendering unit in Edayar
Kerala’s Pollution Control Board has issued a shutdown order to a chicken rendering plant in Edayar after officials from the Environment Surveillance Centre in Eloor detected illegal discharge of waste water through a storm drain into the nearby river. The inspection revealed unauthorised effluent release, prompting the board to demand immediate closure of the facility.
