Bihar announces OTS scheme for brick kilns, waives ₹90 crore interest on outstanding dues
Bihar's government has introduced a one‑time settlement scheme for brick‑kiln operators, forgiving interest amounting to ₹90 crore on pending dues. The OTS, short for One Time Settlement, aims to ease financial stress on the sector. The program targets about 6,000 kiln owners and will be open for a three‑month window beginning 21 September. Participants can clear principal amounts while the interest component is waived under the scheme.
