Telangana NRI Commission sought
The Telangana government has requested the establishment of a National Register of Indian Residents (NRI) Commission to streamline services for overseas Indians. The proposal aims to improve outreach, address grievances, and enhance investment opportunities. Officials said the commission would coordinate with foreign missions and provide a single point of contact for NRIs. It will also facilitate repatriation of funds and support diaspora engagement.
