Keralam reclaims over 120 acres from legacy waste landfills
Kerala has reclaimed more than 120 acres of land previously occupied by old waste dumps. The state government reports that remediation work has been finished at 29 of the 59 identified legacy landfill sites, allowing the areas to be repurposed for development or green space. Officials say the project aims to reduce environmental hazards and recover usable land.
