Students see how trains are cleaned as South Coast Railway opens Swachhata campaign

The South Coast Railway launched its Swachhata Hi Seva‑2026 cleanliness drive, inviting schoolchildren to observe train‑maintenance operations. On the opening day, pupils toured depots and an electric locomotive shed, watching how coaches are washed and how waste is handled. The initiative aims to raise awareness of railway hygiene among young people, including segregation and recycling processes, underscoring the railway's focus on environmental responsibility.
