After 60 years, Sarvepalli canal evacuees to get permanent pattas
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet approved permanent land titles for 1,215 families displaced by the Sarvepalli canal project six decades ago. The decision grants each household a legal patta, aiming to resolve long‑standing settlement issues and provide security of tenure. Officials said the move will facilitate access to government schemes and improve living conditions for the evacuees.
