
Union Cabinet approves ₹24,815 crore multi-tracking projects across 15 districts in U.P., Andhra Pradesh
India's Union Cabinet has sanctioned multi‑track railway works worth roughly ₹24,815 crore covering 15 districts in Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The projects will add about 601 km to the national rail network. Among them, the Ghaziabad‑Sitapur line, valued at ₹14,926 crore, aims to boost links between the country's northern and eastern zones. The upgrades aim to increase line capacity and cut travel times, fostering regional economic growth.
