Banks to offer financial respite to farmers in 101 drought-hit taluks in Karnataka
State Land Bank of Karnataka has directed banks to begin providing financial relief to farmers across 101 taluks affected by drought. The banks must launch the assistance by 11 October 2026 and finish implementation by 9 January 2027. The measures aim to ease credit pressures and support agricultural operations in the severely water‑scarce regions and is expected to stabilize farm incomes.
