J&K MLAs decry 18% representation to Kashmir valley in UT officers’ list
State legislators in Jammu and Kashmir have voiced concern that only 18% of the newly released list of Union Territory officers hail from the Kashmir valley. The criticism follows Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s distribution of appointment letters to 55 candidates who passed the Combined Competitive Examination and will join the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service and the Jammu & Kashmir Accounts (Gazetted) Service.
