Govt. cuts windfall tax on export of petrol, diesel and ATF
India’s government has reduced the windfall tax on fuel exports. The duty on diesel exports fell from ₹25 to ₹20 per litre, while the levy on petrol exports dropped from ₹1.5 to ₹0.5 per litre. The change is intended to lower costs for exporters and could influence international fuel pricing. This adjustment follows a broader effort to support the domestic energy sector.
