Death penalty for all 10 convicts in 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack case
The Supreme Court has sentenced all ten individuals convicted in the 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack to death. The attack, which occurred on May 25, 2013, killed 27 people, including senior Congress leaders Vidya Charan Shukla, Nand Kumar Patel and Mahendra Karma. The verdict follows years of legal proceedings and is the first death‑penalty ruling in a Maoist‑related case in India.
