Govt. augmenting power supply infra in villages at a cost of ₹10,000 crore, says Energy Minister Ravi Kumar

The government plans to invest ₹10,000 crore to upgrade electricity infrastructure in rural areas, Energy Minister Ravi Kumar said. The initiative includes expanding transmission and distribution networks to improve village power supply. Alongside the capital outlay, the ministry will prioritize hiring staff, enhancing employee benefits, providing training, and advancing renewable‑energy projects to support the sector’s growth.
