‘Puja’ scam: Astrologer on run after allegedly duping woman of 329g gold
Police say an astrologer fled after allegedly cheating a woman out of 329 grams of gold. The fraud complaint was filed on September 7 under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, which penalises deception that leads a victim to surrender property or valuable security. Authorities have issued a lookout notice and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area where the transaction occurred.
