Tamil Nadu Assembly records establish M.K. Stalin was a political prisoner under MISA during Emergency
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly has officially recorded that former chief minister M.K. Stalin was detained as a political prisoner under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act during the 1975‑77 Emergency. The motion cites excerpts from the prison diary of the late MP Chittibabu, which were reportedly secured by former chief minister M. Karunanidhi and entered into the Assembly’s proceedings.
