Rare butterfly sighted in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram
A rare variant of the Common Wanderer butterfly, known as the philomela form, was reported in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. The sighting was made by Smita Rani Mishra, who lives in nearby Puducherry. Entomologists note that this form is uncommon in the region, highlighting a notable addition to local biodiversity records.
