Recreating Voodoo Graphics and a Late-1990s Gaming PC on an FPGA
Developers have used a field‑programmable gate array to replicate the functionality of a 1990s Voodoo graphics accelerator and the surrounding PC hardware. The project rebuilds a classic gaming rig by implementing the graphics pipeline and supporting components in programmable logic, allowing the system to run original software without original silicon. The effort demonstrates FPGA versatility for retro computing preservation.
