Asian Games 2026: J&K govt. allows Mir Bilquis to travel after SC intervention; to coach Indian kayaking, canoeing team
On September 10, the Supreme Court set aside a Jammu and Kashmir government order that had barred sportsperson Mir Bilquis from traveling abroad. The court ruled the denial, based on pending departmental inquiries and service rules, was unlawful and granted her permission to coach India’s kayaking and canoeing squad for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games international competition.
