SVIMS opens first-aid centres for devotees trekking to Tirumala for Brahmotsavams
India’s Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences launched two first‑aid centres along the Tirumala pilgrimage route for the Brahmotsavams festival. On the opening day, roughly 198 trekkers accessed the facilities, receiving basic medical care and treatment for minor ailments. The initiative aims to improve health support for the large number of devotees walking to the shrine.
