VMC makes special arrangements for Ganesh idol immersions in Vijayawada
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has set up extra sanitation teams at sites where Ganesh idols are being immersed. The corporation reports that about 15,000 kilograms of puja waste have been gathered and will be converted into incense sticks and organic fertilizer, aiming to manage environmental impact during the festival. These special arrangements also include dedicated collection points and coordination with waste‑processing units.
