SWTD to launch two partly solar-powered, electric ro-ro ferries in Kochi

The partially solar‑powered vessels aim to reduce emissions and improve efficiency. Ro-ro ferries enable vehicles to board and disembark directly, streamlining cross‑water traffic. Commissioning is scheduled for October 2027, marking a step toward greener maritime transport in the region.
